Announcements Weekly December 19, 2017

1. This Sunday is the day before Christmas. I want to encourage our entire Jubilee family to be present to worship our LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ. It will be a very special morning.

2. Sunday, December 31st is the last day of this year. I felt so strongly impressed by the Holy Spirit, that He wants this service to be one of remembering the goodness of God and His faithfulness. I believe God wants us to praise Him and worship Him on that Sunday. So be thinking about what He wants you to share.

3. Looking ahead – on Sunday, January 14th, at 5 PM, we will show the movie, “Steve McQueen, American Icon.” Please invite family, friends and neighbors that don’t know Jesus or go to church.

4. Do you have a heart for missions? I am really excited about the way Ventura Jubilee is taking shape. The Lord has blessed us with incredible leadership. Our Trustees are in place and doing a tremendous job. Our Deacons are in place and coming alongside of me in ministry. Our Women’s ministry is up and running. Training of our volunteers for Children’s Church (k-grade 5) has just begun. The next team I want to establish is Missions. We already have several who want to serve on this team. If you have a keen interest in missions, I want to talk to you. Give me a call at 535-4325.

5. We want to uphold you in prayer. Whenever you are ill, facing surgery or going through a difficult time, let us know. There are (yellow) Prayer Request cards on the Information Table — or you can call the church office. We want to uphold you in prayer. If you are hospitalized we would love to visit you.
If you give us a prayer request please let us know when that request has been met so that we can remove it from our prayer list.

6. Let’s join Pastor Ron on Tuesday nights for a very special time of Bible study. It’s 7:00 PM in the Worship Center.

7. A reminder of our special Christmas booklet, “The Hope of Christmas”, is available for you to take. There are 10 devotionals in it and I’m sure you or your family/friends would enjoy these meditations and scripture readings. They’ll be available at church on Sunday, or come by the office to pick some up.
