“The Fall of Man”

“Praise God for The Resurrection”

In Philippians 3:10-11, the Apostle Paul wrote –
“I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised Him (Christ) from the dead. I want to suffer with Him, sharing in His death, so that one way or another, I will experience the resurrection from the dead.”

I can imagine that many of us would love to experience the mighty power that raised Christ from the dead. But, we might shrink back from suffering with Him and sharing in His death.
One of my favorite theologians is Dr. Ron Rhodes. Let me share with you what he wrote about the crucifixion

“The Fall of Man”

“So Great a Salvation”

Has anyone ever given you a special gift? When they gave it to you, did you pull out your wallet and offer to pay for it? I hope not. A gift is a gift. It is something that is freely given. To offer to pay for it would be an insult.

A gift must be accepted for what it is – something that is freely given and unmerited.

Folks, that is the way it is with our salvation. Listen to what Paul wrote in Ephesians 2:8-10, “God saved you by His grace when you believed. And, you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.

“The Fall of Man”

“God’s Mysterious Ways”

Someone has well said, “God works in mysterious ways, His wonders to perform.”

In Isaiah 55:8-9, we have God saying, “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

Can you look back over the years to some confusing, painful time you were going through and now years later, see how God used it as a building block in your life? I think that’s what Paul was alluding to in Romans 8:28 when he wrote, “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”
